Lessons from Jacob - Why is it important to have people of 'strong' faith around you? Reading from Genesis 30:37-43 We all know the importance of meditating on the promises of Father God, Abraham was shown the land before it was his inheritance, he was shown the stars and the promise of fathering multiple nations before he had even fathered a child with Sarah. Father God prospered Jacob, not just because of what Jacob saw and expected to see, but because the strong of the flock also saw spots and stripes and reproduced a strong flock. Jacob didn’t place the spots and stripes in front of the eyes of the weaker flock as they would only reproduce a weak flock. Jacob deliberately placed the spots and stripes in front of the strong flock that would reproduce a stronger flock.
